At Grasp N' Grow, the skills we focus on are phonics, vocabulary, grammar, spelling and reading assistance. We begin with a research based assessment that helps the reading team make a plan that is just right for the student. With progress monitoring and working together with home and school, growth is accomplished and celebrated.
Strong reading skills are an important building block to learning and will assist your child in every school subject. Elementary school students start out by learning basic reading skills, including vocabulary, spelling, and phonics. As the child gets older and more confident in reading, we can assist with reading comprehension, word meaning with the use of Latin root words, critical thinking skills, and forming opinions what they are reading.
